Hasten Slowly is part of the Lions Gate Garden Permaculture initiative. In this we explore the blending of boundaries between permaculture and technology to identify the harmonies that can exist between them. Permaculture and Technology are commonly segregated however as humans are increasingly immersed in a world of connected objects we must consider how these technologies can present themselves for interaction with humans in more natural ways. This project part of an ongoing investigation into how we can use environmental data to stimulate AI in everyday machine. Using environmental data immediately present to the permaculture garden we produced generative artworks to demonstrate the relationship between time, environment and patience. The artworks demonstrate an alternative opportunity to explore in the field of Machine Intelligence where the functionality of the production is secondary to the visceral impact of it.
